FAQ
-
How long do project usually take to be finished?
Smaller projects are usually able to be finished quicker but it all depends based on the time of year and how many projects are on-going. We will give an estimate time to completion during our consultation for custom work.
-
What wood species do you use?
All species are on the table but some exotics may take a long time to procure and will cost much more than domestic hardwoods. The domestic wood species we use the most often are Ash, Cherry, Maple, Oak and Walnut.
-
What is the cost for custom-made furniture?
It’s hard to give any exact figures but you should estimate spending about double on custom furniture what you would for a mass-produced item of the same type.
-
What finishes do you use?
Depending on the application we use oil and water based finishes including food-safe mineral oil/beeswax blends for our charcuterie and cutting boards, OSMO and Rubio hard wax oils for table tops and other furniture pieces and polyurethane/polycrylic for items that will see the most use and abuse.
-
Shipping and delivery?
Due to their size, some of our larger pieces are costly to deliver but anything is possible. If you pick up a piece from our shop there is no charge and delivery can be arranged at the buyer’s expense with varying costs depending on the size of the item.
-
What payments do you accept?
Currently we accept cash payment and e-transfer with 50% of the total cost due at the beginning of the custom work and 50% upon pick-up or delivery.
